This infographic looks at some of the data on business disruption. Business disruption is when some change or innovation in society threatens to damage or destroy a business model.
A business model is how a business makes money. Anything that disrupts this is bad for the business, bad for its employees and bad for its owners.
It can be great for its customers who now get a better solution to their core problem. Great examples of business disruption in Malaysia are Air Asia (Who mortally wounded Malaysian Airlines) and Grab/Uber (Which meant that we never had to take a taxi ever again).
So I’ve collated some of the best statistics on what CEOs think about disruption and put them into this business disruption infographic.

On the other hand, this little drawing expresses what it’s really like.

Fig 2 – You see some trouble on the horizon. It’s a long way away
Fig 3 – You had nothing to judge the scale by, and it looks too late to leave the building
Fig 4 – I guess I didn’t own a castle, after all. It was a balloon, a good thing too!
